Blessed… 10 things I am thankful for this Thanksgiving

Relaxing with a hot coffee on a cold fall morning… remembering all the things that I have to be thankful for, is warming me right to my soul.

I have so many things to be thankful for, I don’t even know where to start!  But here are 10 things that I know I am thankful for today (and everyday)

1.  Life

I am thankful every day that I am here, alive, happy and healthy.   Many times we take our health for granted.  But to have watched so many loved ones suffer and leave us makes us appreciated what we have today!  Make the best of yours… I know I do!

2. Family

I am thankful for family.  Without them… I would be a very different person. Husband, son, Dad, sister, brother, in-laws, nieces, nephews, godson, aunts, uncles and cousins – every single one of you has blessed my life.  I don’t know where I would be without you.

3. Friends

I am thankful for every single person that has come into my life to enrich, challenge and inspire me.  The impact that you all have on my life cannot be expressed.  Old friends, new friends… and those I haven’t even met yet – I cherish you.

4. Passion

I am thankful to be able to pursue my passion in photography, providing those around me with lifelong cherished memories.  To be able to give this gift to others is such a wonderful blessing.  And to have the good fortune to be able to make this my career – I just can’t even express how much I am thankful for that.

5. My husband

I am thankful for the never-ending support of my husband. Even when I am little bit crazy, he is always here for me.  He loves me every day and every day I love him back.  When we are together, we act as one.  When we’re apart, we feel broken.   We speak without talking.  We share so many thoughts.  Marrying you was the best decision I ever made – I love you beyond words.

6. Pets

I am thankful for the animals that enrich my life.  My pets, here and passed have always been so important to me.   I could not imagine my life without a pet.  They listen when I need to talk, they love unconditionally and they allow me to give them all of my overflowing love!  To all my “fur-babies”… I couldn’t love you more.

7.  Nature

I am thankful for the beauty that surrounds us every day.  The changing seasons, the bountiful sunshine, and the awe-inspiring scenery that is all around us.  I will never tire of the beauty of nature. Green grass of summer, Gorgeous fall colors, Fresh winter white and the vibrance of spring – every day I wake up to a new beautiful canvas for my life.   This is truly a blessing.

8. The Internet

I am thankful for the powerful network the internet offers us every day.  The ability to communicate nearly effortlessly with so many people around the globe is something that we sometimes take for granted.  My business, my friendships, and my endless need for learning have benefited so much from the power of the internet.

9. Prosperity

I am thankful that even though sometimes it feels like times are tough, we have a roof over our heads, food on our table, running water in our sinks, medicine to keep us healthy and soldiers, police, firefighters… to keep us safe.  We always have what we NEED.  We are richer than we know.

10.  Everything else

Coffee, Chocolate, Sushi, Yoga, Movies, Books, Photographs, Children, Laughter…. the list is endless but the blessings are all around us.  There are so many opportunities to be thankful every day.  Take some time to reflect on these, and remember that every experience we have, every sunset we watch, every smile, every tear… makes us individual, and makes us into the people that we are today.

I hope you can all take a few minutes this Thanksgiving weekend to think about the blessings in your own lives – and remember the value of each of these blessings on your soul.
