This Easter, take a moment to reflect on the importance of family, and what you would do if you were suddenly without one important member.
Every Easter, for my family, serves as an important reminder of how important we are to each other. Our mother passed away, from cancer on Easter Sunday, 1983. This year marks 29 years. It’s hard to believe, really…. But life goes on.
As photographers, this might be the biggest reason we do what we do. As beautiful as it is to present a family with a new portrait, it serves equally as a reminder to the importance of family. Every photo is a reminder of a special moment in time. And these are memories that, once a life passes, become IRREPLACEABLE.
I remember my mother’s smile, only through the photos that I hold of her. And I will cherish those, always.
Happy Easter, blessings to you and your families!
